WATERS BEYOND ALL CHANGE

We move

Across water as we

Move across land, but

Water is what it is about,

Water more than air,

The bearer of life, water

Upon whose face

The All moved

At our beginnings,

Water our link and water

Our final dissolver: we

Move from it and

Flow away, staying

For a time on land,

Until we return

To a sea-green world,

Deep with light blues.

And in that place

Of water all is always

Beautiful beyond change.
